Mentor Session Training
To help you make the most of your 20 minutes with each mentor, we will be sending you a short training video prepared by Brenda from Evoke Consulting and Nikki from Women In Aerospace Canada. Keep an eye on your inbox. It will arrive before the event!
How the session works
Multiple rounds of open mentoring in a virtual space, designed to feel like an in-person networking event.
You choose your mentors
No pre-matching or assignments. Visit whichever mentor tables interest you most.
~20-minute rounds
Multiple rounds of open mentoring, each approximately 20 minutes, with plenty of time for meaningful conversation.
Come prepared
You’ll get the tips from the training video ahead of the session, so you can prepare yourself for the networking and bring your questions.
What you’ll walk away with
Our mentee program is built around a clear set of outcomes. By the end of the session, you will:
Understand mentorship
Learn the purpose and objectives of mentorship, and how to choose a mentor and the rules of engagement.
Leave with a plan
Prepare a draft development plan, a network map, and an elevator pitch to review with your mentor.
Network with confidence
Feel more confident networking with industry professionals, and know how to introduce yourself effectively.
See the career map
Gain insight into aerospace and space career pathways from people currently working across the industry.
Build real skills
Strengthen communication and professional relationship skills you’ll use well beyond this one session.
