Stella Filippatos is currently Director, Supply Chain, Systems, and serves as Strategic Supplier Leader for certain key suppliers at Bombardier Aerospace. Her team is currently responsible for leading the Air Management Systems, Fuel Systems, Landing Gear, Electrical Systems, Ducting, Brake Control Systems and Hydraulics commodities.
Stella has over 20 years of experience in the field. She joined CAE in 2006 as an Avionics Systems Specialist and subsequently took on the role of Proposal Solutions Manager. She later worked at Bombardier from 2010 to 2019, where she occupied several roles of increasing responsibility in product management, engineering, supply chain and business strategy & transformation. Upon her return to CAE in 2019, Stella took on a leadersip roles in Civil Product Management, an Intrapreneurship assignment for the development of a Part 23 electric aircraft trainer, and led a Transformation Team for operational optimization. She recently rejoined Bombardier's Supply Chain organization.
A veteran in aerospace program development, Stella holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and a Master's of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, as well as an MBA from Concordia University.
Stella enjoys coaching and mentoring, as well as presenting to university and college students on the importance of joining STEM related fields, offering some advice on early career pitfalls to watch out for, as well as to employee resource groups aimed at attracting a more diverse workforce to aviation.
