A day inside the space industry, for students
Moonshot is InspireTech Canada’s space-themed, interactive event for high school students, hosted at Canon Canada’s headquarters in Brampton. Students and their teachers spend the day rotating through presentations and hands-on workshops led by companies, government organizations and post-secondary institutions from across the Canadian space sector.
The idea is simple: put the people who build rockets, satellites and space businesses in the same building as the students who might do it next. Moonshot 6 is the spring 2027 edition, and WIA-Canada will be in the Vendor Showcase talking to students and teachers about careers in aerospace and the community we are building across Canada.
Presentations, interactive workshops and a vendor showcase, all under one roof for one day. Canada’s space sector, meet Canada’s next space sector.
Workshops and a showcase
Students and teachers are grouped into colour-coded streams, each with its own schedule. Every stream gets a mix of workshops and time in the Vendor Showcase over the day. InspireTech confirms the final schedule closer to the day.
Workshops and seminars
Hour-long sessions run in rooms across the first and third floors. At the spring edition the hosts included Launch Canada, MDA Space, NordSpace, 7 Wing (Space), Camp Canon, Moon Trades and the Scale Up business simulation.
