YWCA Hamilton has partnered with McMaster Manufacturing Research Institute (MMRI) to offer a course on electrification technologies in automotive, aerospace, and infrastructure.
The program covers advancements, challenges, and the societal, environmental, and ethical impacts of these technologies, with a focus on critical thinking, project management, and practical skills. Gain a competitive edge with a certificate from MMRI, a leader in research and innovation.
The course covers three main topics:
- Automotive Systems: Electric vehicles and their future.
- Aerospace & Aviation: Challenges in air mobility, propulsion, energy storage, sustainability, and regulations.
- Infrastructure & Smart Cities: Smart grids, electrified public transport, and IoT energy management.
This EV fundamentals certificate explores key concepts, industry trends, and their impact—while equipping participants with essential project management and production management skills for emerging technologies.
The course includes a six week Data Lab placement for select participants with Innovation Factory. All expenses covered by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
