The Women in Aerospace – Canada Mentorship Program provides an opportunity for Mentees to meet with experienced leaders for a speed mentoring event. The program also prepares both Mentors and Mentees to have high value discussions with respect to the Mentees development needs and goals. For Mentors this is an excellent opportunity to provide invaluable lessons-learned from your personal experience to find an individual who would most benefit from it.
What is expected of Mentors – we ask Mentors to watch three – 15 min *training videos (45mins total), and attend one 30 min prep session (for Q&A) prior to the speed mentoring event. Each Speed Mentoring Event is 2 hours – during these sessions Mentors will meet with 4 – 5 Mentees for 20 mins each.
Training videos Include:
Key Rules of Engagement for Mentorship – why mentorship can fail and how to make it successful – Recommended mentorship process – Resources and Tools for Mentors – Career Goals Gender and Cultural Differences – Key areas of Preparation for Participants – logistics of speed mentoring event
*note – returning mentors from 2022 program – training videos and Q&A session is optional.
