Irene Gosende Seeney

Irene is a marketing and project professional with over 20 years experience spanning various industries. Since 2020, she has worked for AirPro SAR Services Inc, a joint venture between Airbus Defence and Space and PAL Aerospace, that is fully dedicated to the successful operation of Canada’s Fixed Wing Search and Rescue Aircraft Replacement (FWSAR) programme.

She is currently in the Program Management Office providing project governance and is an Internal Auditor to ensure all the policies and procedures of the Quality/Business Management System are kept current and followed to maintain the company’s AS9100 Certification.  Prior, she worked in the mining industry in research and marketing in executive search and investor relations in junior mining companies. Volunteering is a passion for her in order to give to students and professionals what she has learnt from working with private, public, and non-for-profits organizations. Through volunteering, she has been able to create focused organizations, increase participation, help promote the role of women, chair conferences to expand the knowledge and interaction of mining professionals and guide the next generation to be successful in their careers.

She holds a Post-Diploma International Business and Honors Bachelor of Arts (Specialized in Spanish with a Major in Economics). In her spare time, she enjoys taking long walks in nature, travel and cooking for family and friends.
