Program Manager & Operations Coordinator
Women in Aerospace Canada (WIA-Canada – https://wia-canada.org/) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to expanding women’s opportunities for leadership and professional development as well as increasing their visibility in the aerospace community by creating a professional network in Canada and across the globe.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Program Manager & Operations Coordinator for an upcoming large program offering. The role is a full-time position for 16 months, which is largely remote work with the ability to run events across the Greater Toronto Area in person. This individual has complete accountability to deliver this program including:
- Support in establishing detailed schedule, schedule management, planning, processes, templates, protocols, and acting as a schedule keeper for the team.
- Responsible for meeting invitations, document administration, financial transactions, and general admin support.
- Responsible for project management and coordination – project plan/schedule, budget management, program governance, etc.
- Responsible for operational type coordination for the program.
- Plan, coordinate, direct and control all program activities
- Set up SharePoint sites and folder structure in office 365 and manage access control
- Implement and report program metrics to the management committee
- Maintain the relationship with the clients and ensure the monitoring of requirements
- Lead an effective program communication plan between the internal and external collaborators
- Reporting on program progress on a weekly basis to WIA Executive Director
- Preparing and delivering monthly briefing on program progress to WIA-C Board of Directors
- Help with Program event planning and coordination
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Passionate about Diversity & Inclusion and supporting underrepresented groups
- Ability to use Office 365 application and set up SharePoint with access control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, or similar field
- Obtained either CAPM or PMP certificate
- Coming from Aerospace background is an asset
- Previous experience in a Program or Project management & Operations role
- Demonstrated success in the implementation of projects
- High level of proficiency with methodology and project management tools such as MS project
- Strong leadership capability, able to influence all stakeholders to achieve objectives
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, and on flexible hours (attending meetings/events)
