The RCAF Foundation Student Scholarship is offered to Canada’s next generation of aviation and aerospace leaders. These scholarships are designed to assist post-secondary students in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) areas of study who are planning future careers in the fields of either Aviation or Aerospace.
We expect these student scholarships to help encourage more young people to consider careers in these fields as the demand for skilled people grows in both the private and defence sectors.
This RCAF Foundation Student Scholarship supports two of our Areas of Focus including engaging young Canadians and working with the aviation and aerospace industry to promote future careers opportunities.
Please note to be eligible you must be 25 or younger as of September 1, 2023 and currently enrolled or accepted into a program at an accredited Canadian university or college.
A total of 49 RCAF Foundation Student Scholarships ($1,000 each) will be awarded. There will be one (1) Chris Allan RCAF Foundation Scholarship valued at $2500.
The Chris Allan RCAF Foundation scholarship will be awarded to one student selected in partnership with the Chris Allan Legacy Fund. Chris Allan served his country at home and abroad as a Captain in the Royal Canadian Air Force, piloting the CF-18 Hornet, until he tragically lost his life at the young age of 31 while salmon fishing in British Columbia.
We especially encourage applications from students who are not well represented in the aviation or aerospace industries.
The deadline to apply is 11:59 PM on Tuesday May 23, 2023.
