Recently, Women in Aerospace Canada partnered with Catalyst Canadato provide two excellent workshops on Unconscious Bias to Inclusive Leadershipand Inclusive Communication. With support from the RBC Foundation, these two workshops led by Executive Director Vandana Juneja are part of a series designed to support individuals on their equity and inclusion leadership journeys. The benefits of inclusion are profound – resulting in increased productivity, greater team problem-solving and innovation, higher engagement levels, an overall better place to work, and a positive impact on the bottom line.
In Unconscious Bias to Inclusive Leadership, participants gained an understanding of unconscious bias and its impact while becoming aware of and learning how to address internal, interpersonal, and organizational biases so as to become a more inclusive leader committed to creating a more inclusive culture.
In Inclusive Communication, participants explored communication tools to bridge divides and create meaningful connections across differences. The workshop addressed biased comments and behaviours and how to overcome common communication roadblocks to build a more inclusive work culture.
